A group of businesses, commercial property owners and museums in the old downtown area along Main Street in League City’s Historic District have joined together to create the League City Downtown Association. The objective of this nonprofit organization is to help create a vibrant, safe, walkable and popular business and residential area where people want to visit, live, work and play. The City of League City has encouraged the formation of the organization as part of the initiative to enhance and revitalize downtown, one of the top priorities identified by City Council following input from citizens during the Visioning meeting hosted in January by the city.
